The Lansky Medium Diamond LDHMD stone with medium gradation is used for sharpening the working edge and is used in the middle phase of the sharpening process.
The stone is designed for Lansky sharpening systems, but can also be used as a stand-alone whetstone. Gradation 280 is used for sharpening severely dulled cutting edges, usually after initial derivation using a coarse gradation.
Diamond-coated whetstones are designed for sharpening blades made of hard steel with a high degree of hardening, such as CPM-S30V. Fits all Lansky kits.
The insert is mounted in an ergonomically shaped polymer housing, fitted with a brass threaded insert for a guide (not included).
Note: When sharpening, do not use a lot of pressure, water or oil. Clean the insert in warm water with a mild detergent.
